Principal Special Assistant to the Governor on Water Resources and Sanitation Hon. Abubakar Isa has met with the Shelleng LGA Chairman and all the chairmen of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) from across the 10 wards of the area, urging them to continue with their support to the Fintiri led administration.
Abubakar Isa who is the Marafa Shelleng while addressing the meeting at his Karewa residence in Jimeta Yola, appreciated the party leaders for their support, stressed the need for all to work towards moving the party and the State forward.
In a statement through his Shelleng media office, quoted the PSA saying “it is important for them to know that as leaders of the party, they must come together with critical stakeholders as one big family for the progress of the PDP and the development of Adamawa State”.
Marafa added that, there is need to make the party stronger and that necessitated the idea of inviting them to the State capital to discuss on how to maintained the existing unity among its members.
He said, as loyal party stakeholder he know they are capable, and they can count on his support anytime, hoping that they can continue to take full control of the party’s affairs.
Hon. Abubakar Isa, also used the opportunity and took them round the State capital to see for themselves the ongoing infrastructural development of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri.
Speaking during the visit the Shelleng local government PDP chairman Hon. Adamu Buba Kiri said they can not forget the developmental projects provided by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri in Shelleng during the tenure of Hon. Abubakar Isa from (2019-2023) such as completion of Kiri-Shelleng road,Cottage Hospital,Rural feeder roads,schools and his recent intervention to provide portable drinking water in Shelleng town.
Kiri who doubles as State ALGON Chairman of the PDP, while appreciating Hon. Abubakar Isa for fostering unity among the people of Shelleng, lauded Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for his leadership role in bringing everyone together irrespective of religious or ethnic affiliations.
He said they will never forget the good governance Fintiri have been providing for the people of Adamawa State, therefore, saluted the dedication and commitment of the Governor for working with competent people in his government for the development of Adamawa State and the nation at large.
