The Senator representing Adamawa Central Senatorial District, Aminu Iya Abbas, has expressed deep grief and heartfelt sympathy to the residents of Gaya Community in Hong Local Government Area following a deadly attack by suspected Boko Haram insurgents that left several dead and others injured.

In a press statement issued through his media office in Yola and made available to newsmen, Senator Abbas condemned the violent assault and offered prayers for the families of the victims, asking Almighty Allah to grant eternal rest to the deceased, fortitude to the bereaved, and a swift recovery to those injured.

Addressing the recurring security threats in the area, the lawmaker made an urgent appeal for heightened security measures and community-level vigilance

Senator Abbas reiterated the critical need for permanent military and security bases within Hong Local Government Area, particularly across vulnerable, high-risk border communities.

 He called on the Federal Government and security authorities to deploy additional personnel, enhance intelligence-gathering capabilities, and allocate adequate resources to neutralize further threats.

The Senator urged all relevant stakeholders and community members to complement government efforts by actively monitoring the activities of unknown persons and reporting any suspicious movements within the society.
