The Member representing Mayo Belwa constituency at the Adamawa state House of Assembly, Hon. Musa Ibrahim Italiya, says he has not been sacked by the Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja.
Hon. Italiya, who was reacting on the media reports that he was sacked by the court on Thursday; said the court ordered for supplementary election at the affected polling units.
He said the appeal court affirmed the decision of the National/Assembly Election Petition Tribunal which declared his election inconclusive at Seven polling units.
The polling units according the court, include unit 013, Model Primary School, unit 021, Yelwa Primary School, unit 039, Model (IV) Primary School, unit 047, Wuro Mana Islamiya Primary School, unit 004, Chukkol Joda G.D.S.S., unit 009 ,Wuro Aminu Kofar Jauro and unit 018 Wuro Mana I.
He said that the tribunal in its judgement has ordered INEC to conduct re-run election at the affected polling units within 90 days, from the day of judgement.
He said that that the appeal court did not sack him in its judgement as against media reports and called on his supporters to remain calm and wait for the next line of action.
