The Njir Hoba Multipurpose Cooperative Group, also known as Njir Hoba, has inaugurated a club that would enlighten people, particularly youths in Kulinyi District on the need to abstain from smoking.
Inaugurating the Club in Kala’a which was sponsored by Mrs Dabney Shall-Holma, Adamawa State Coordinator -Tabacco and Other Harmful Substances Engr. Umaru Hassan said members of the club will have time to interact with the community to find lasting solutions to the menace.
He explained that the club will serve as a springboard towards the total eradication of smoking in Kulinyi District, Hong local government area, and by extension Adamawa State as a whole.
The State Coordinator reminded members of the club that their selection is a call to service aimed at having a healthy society devoid of smokers.
He stressed the need for parents to culture their children on the negative impact of smoking on their health and the society.
