Adamawa AIDS Agency Pledges Operational Overhaul

The new board Adamawa State Action for the Control of HIV/AIDS (ADSACA) is to rejig the agency for optimal performance targeted at reducing HIV prevalence in the state

Dr Boniface Gundiri, the agency’s executive secretary, made the promise Tuesday in Yola during a courtesy call on the state Deputy Governor Professor Kaletapwa Farauta in her office.

Gundiri said the agency is going to step down advocacy to commercial sex workers and brothels

He stated further that the agency is going to intensify advocacy involving the media, traditional institution on the need for people to accept test to determine their status.

Earlier the deputy governor said government has spent a lot of money on critical healthcare projects aimed at bolstering quality healthcare services

She said various initiatives have been funded to uplift the healthcare sector across the 226 words in the state.
