Adamawa state Deputy Gov Professor Kaletapwa George Farauta has directed contractors handling ongoing construction work on Lamurde Cottage hospital and Numan general hospital to speed up work to ensure completion of the projects.

during inspection of the project sites Thursday, were told to sit up.
Farauta wondered why the 60-bed Lamurde cottage hospital and staff quarters, awarded before other cottage hospitals across the state, have not been completed.
“Government wonders why Lamurde Cottage hospital is still crawling. Some cottage hospitals were started after Lamurde and they have been commissioned.
“It is not acceptable any more that Lamurde Cottage hospital project is still crawling. This project has to be completed and it should be done now to avoid government’s action,” the deputy governor said.
At the Numan general hospital, she told the contractors that the state government will not tolerate any further laxity that could undermine estimated time lag for the completion of construction of pediatric, laboratory and theatre units.
In their separate responses, Egr Usman Ismail promised to complete the N279 Lamurde Cottage hospital project within two months.
On his part, Eng Yusuf Ahmad Gankuba attributed the delay in Numan project to fallout between the contractor and the first resident engineer.
The two hospitals provide health services to communities in Numan Federation compromising nine LGAs and some communities in neighboring Taraba State
