Adamawa state Deputy Governor, Professor Kaletapwa George Farauta, has urged people to be proud of Adamawa State as well as always pray for government to succeed.
Speaking at a special prayer organized to mark the 5th year anniversary of the administration of Governor Ahmadu Fintiri at the Church of the Brethren, popularly known as Ekklesiyar Yan’Uwa A Nigeria (EYN), Jimeta LCC, Farauta thanked communities, church ministers and CAN for prayers.
Farauta who led cabinet members and other dignitaries to the special service, said they were in the church to show fellowship as one big family under Christ.
She told the congregation that they have brothers and sisters God lifted to various positions in governance and still need prayers to succeed.
According to her, “when we succeed, the church succeeds; when we fail, the church is in shame.”
The deputy governor said as parents who have children of Adamawa at heart, government is committed to payment of NECO and WAEC fees for every child in the state.
“We need Godly set of youths and children that would take over after us, so that the land and church would have continuity.
“We are here to let you know that Adamawa is a project we hold in our hands. We need to pray that God gives us wisdom to meet the need of the common man,” she said.
The host Pastor, Rev Luckson Moses said the Fintiri administration is giving Adamawa state a befitting look and good service to humanity in the area of security compared to other states.
He said the five years down the line of governance in the state is a wonderful one.
The cleric thanked Governor Ahmadu Fintiri for carrying christians along, praying God to continue to lead him in handling the affairs of the state.
“We want to thank government, because this administration is giving us free and fresh air,” he said.
The new state chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Dr.Joel Danjuma Manzo said the state has never had it so good, stressing that the church is feelling a sense of belonging.
The state Assembly Speaker, Hon Bathiya Wesley, Murum Mbula, Bwaltam Bentley Biyapo Mboiman, Kwandi Nuguraya, HRH, Kuruhaye Dishon Dansanda II, and Hama Batta, Alhamdu Teneke, attended the church service.
