KOJOLI, ADAMAWA STATE – In a significant boost to grassroots development, the Member representing Leko Koma Constituency at the Adamawa State House of Assembly, Hon. Bulus Geoffrey, has distributed an extensive array of empowerment items to his constituents.
The distribution ceremony, held in Kojoli, marks the 4th phase of the lawmaker’s “Renewed Hope” initiative, a journey of impactful representation that began in 2023.
The items distributed target various sectors including transportation, agriculture, and small-scale entrepreneurship. The breakdown includes:
Transport: 5 Cars and 18 Motorcycles.
Agro-Processing: 15 Grinding machines and 15 Milling machines.
Small Businesses: 15 Sewing machines, 15 Vulcanizing machines, 15 Gasoline generators, and 15 sets of Clippers.
Infrastructure & Health: 18 bundles of Roofing sheets and 5 Wheelchairs for People Living with Disabilities (PLWDs).
Beneficiaries were drawn from across the five political wards of Jada Local Government Area: Yeli, Kojoli, Koma I, Koma II, and Mapeo.
Speaking at the event, Hon. Bulus Geoffrey emphasized that his mission is rooted in a solemn pledge to make the voice of Leko Koma felt in every household.
”Today is not just about distributing items; it is about accountability. These resources are seeds meant to be planted, not consumed. I urge all beneficiaries to use these tools judiciously to stimulate our local economy.”
The lawmaker also highlighted his administration’s broader achievements since April 2025, which include:
Education: Construction of two primary schools and a new examination hall at So’o Leko Ward.
Water: Drilling of over 20 hand-pump boreholes (10 fully functional).
Health: Commissioning of a new clinic at Komni Koma 2 and the renovation of the Jalingo Latere Mapeo clinic.
Direct Support: Cash grants to over 200 small business owners and the distribution of herbicides to farmers
The Speaker of the Adamawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Bathiya Wesley, who attended the launch, described good governance as the provision of developmental projects. He lauded Hon. Bulus as a “credible leader” and urged the people of Leko Koma to support him for a second term to ensure a continuation of these “dividends of democracy.”
The Speaker further noted that the Assembly remains united in supporting Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri to create an enabling environment for such progress.
Dignitaries at the event, including the former Chief Judge of Adamawa State, Justice Ambrose Mammadi, and the District Head of Kojoli, Alh. Kabiru Hayatu Kojoli, praised the lawmaker for “giving back” to his people, describing his leadership as a model for others to follow.
