Adamawa Deputy Governor, Professor Kaletapha Farauta, has inaugurated the new Executives of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), urging them to multiply the victory of the party across Nigeria in the 2027 general elections.
Addressing the new party leadership at Government House Yola, Farauta urged reconciliation to unite and move the party forward.
She pointed out the need for the former and new leaders to close ranks and work in synergy in the interest of the party.
The deputy governor urged them to carry along other stakeholders, women and youths of the party to consolidate on the party’s gains in the state.
According to her, the party needed to carry along everyone, especially women, youths and other stakeholders for development.
She further expressed confidence in the party new vigor to maintaining its victory in the state, especially at the grassroots levels.
Earlier, the firmer PDP chairman Barrister Abubakar Tahir Shehu appreciated members of PDP for their support and cooperation throughout their stay in office, encouraging them to extend same to the new exco
He expressed confidence in the capacity of the newly elected exco led by Hamza Bello Madagali to effect positive changes in the party and the state.
In his speech, the new party chairman Hon Hamza Alhaji Bello Madagali, said his emergence is victory for all which he described as collected triumph for the party and democracy.
He said the trust of supporters, would drive commitments to building the party in the state.
Hamza Madagali, a former chairman of Madagali local government and organising secretary of the party was elected unopposed without any contestants.
The new executive committee includes Engr. Belmond Dogo as State Deputy Chairman. The three Vice Chairmen are Umar Sahid (South), Shekarau Yerima (Central), and Steven Doma (North).
Saleh Mohammed Musa Shelleng is the State Secretary, Barr. Ishaku Y. Daniel is the Legal Adviser, and Bature Moses serves as Auditor. Titus Samaila is the Organising Secretary (South), while Victor Dogo is the Publicity Secretary (South). Ahmadu Dahiru takes the role of Treasurer (North), Suzan Zira is the Woman Leader (North), Dedan Clifford is the Youth Leader (South), and Jafaru Yusuf is the Financial Secretary (South) among others.
