Hajiya Lami Fintiri equally sponsored the treatment of 1,000 women suffering from breast and cervical cancer even as she empower individuals, families and raised advocacy against cancer prevention and early detection aw well as donated N5 million at the First Ladies Against Cancer (FLAC) book launch.
The wife the Governor explained that the free medical treatment would significantly reduce the barriers that prevent women from seeking early diagnosis and treatment of cancer.
She reaffirmed her unwavering commitment to continue supporting women not only through medical interventions but also by providing emotional support, counseling, and raising awareness about the importance of early detection and access to quality healthcare.
According to her, these measures will help women navigate the difficulties associated with cancer.

Describing breast cancer as a formidable threat that affects countless lives globally, the First Lady highlighted that the disease knows no age or social status, instilling fear in women worldwide.
She noted that the occasion was not just to acknowledge the challenges posed by the disease but also to celebrate the strength and resilience of survivors while encouraging them to sustain their fighting spirit.
In a passionate appeal, Hajiya Lami Fintiri called on stakeholders, wealthy individuals, communities, organizations, and governments to contribute their quota toward the fight against cancer.
She stressed the need to build a society where no woman faces breast cancer alone and urged women to take advantage of the free screening exercise to benefit from the initiative.
Meanwhile, in an interview with journalists, the Managing Director of Specialist Hospital Yola, Dr. Dauda Wadinga, expressed appreciation to the wife of the Governor for healthcare initiatives.
He disclosed that her healthcare programs covered all 21 local government areas of the state, pointing out that women were treated on various ailments, urging her to maintain the gesture for the benefits of the common people.
