The Adamawa State Deputy Governor, Professor Kaletapwa Farauta has warned youths against getting involved in illicit drugs, asserting it is dangerous and inimical to human survival.
Farauta gave the warning in Yola Sunday, at the retirement church service in honour of the state Commander of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Mr Samson Agbaolu Femi.
Farauta who doubles as the Chairman, Adamawa State Drug Control Committee, said government would live no stone unturned in eradicating the menace of drug abuse.
She insisted on the need for drug-free society for the younger generation, expressing gratitude for the retiring NDLEA’s service and wishing him well in
future endeavors.
“Governor Ahmadu Fintiri has approved Drug Control Committee to ensure zero tolerance for drug abuse in the state,” she said.
She further remarked at the Mountain of Fire and Miracle Ministries church Benue in Jambutu, “We must train our children to take over leadership from us as good citizens”.

lauded the support of the state government towards fighting drug abuse effectively
He said the establishment of drug control committee and constitution of Ngurore-Numan checkpoint has reduced cases of robbery and drug trafficking in the state.
He thanked members of the state control committees for their support in curbing the menace of drug abuse in the state.
Pastor Osita Egbebuike, the regional overseer of the church, encouraged the congregation to serve God with all their worth, including giving their material support to the church and to humanity.
