A Public Hearing on a Bill Seeking to Establish the National Eye Centre, Jimeta in Yola North Local Government Area of Adamawa Central Senatorial District of Adamawa State is currently going on at the Committee’s Conference Hall Organized by the Senate Committee on Health of the Nigerian Senate.
The Bill was Sponsored by the Senator Representing Adamawa Central Senatorial District, Aminu Iya Abbas which scalled through second reading on the floor of red chamber in 2024 and was subsequently referred to the Senate Committee on Health for public hearing.
Speaking during a well attended public hearing, Senator Abbas said the National Eye Centre is strategically located in the Capital of Adamawa State with millions population.
Aminu Iya Abbas added that if the National Eye Center becomes operational would not only serve the people of Central Zone, Adamawa State, but the North East and the country as a whole.
