Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has joined Gombe state traditional council in celebrating the 30th anniversary on the throne of the Emir of Pindiga Dr. Mohammed Seyoji Ahmad.
The governor described the celebrant as a symbol of unity, peace and progress in the history of Pindiga emirate council.
Pindiga, a community in Akko local government area of Gombe state is predominantly Jukun, Fulani, Hausa, Tangley, among other tribes.
Pindiga was upgraded to an emirate in July 2000 by Gombe state government, with Dr. Mohammed Seyoji Ahmad appointed as the first emir in December, followed by his formal coronation and presentation of staff of office as a second class emir in July 2001.
He was later coronated and presented a staff of office as a first class emir in November 2018.
Governor Fintiri, represented by his deputy Professor Kaletapwa Farauta, at the anniversary congratulated Dr. Mohammad Seyoji Ahmad on his 30th anniversary on the traditional seat.
The governor preached the message of peace and unity of purpose amongst the diverse cultures and religion.
Fintiri further acknowledged the commitment of the emir in serving his people and beyond, praying for more grace, wisdom and understanding to lead them to greatness.
The celebrant Dr. Mohammad Seyoji Ahmad enumerated his achievements made possible by the support and cooperation of his subjects, even as he saluted them and other stakeholders for their contributions to peace enterprise.
The chairman organizing committee Samaila Muazu Hassan congratulated the emir on his 30th anniversary on the throne, noting that his leadership qualities has restored the lost glory of the emirate.
He pledged their untiring support and cooperation, even as he expressed hope for a greater future.
