In a heartwarming display of kindness and generosity, the Fellowship Foundation, a humanitarian organization, visited the Government Orphanage Home and Daycare in Karewa, Yola, Adamawa State, with a plethora of gift items ahead of the Christmas celebration.
The foundation, comprising a group of friends united by their passion for giving back to society, has been actively involved in various philanthropic projects for over six years. According to Dr. Steven John, a member of the foundation and Director of Planning, Research, and Statistics at the Adamawa State Ministry of Health, the organization’s mission is to make a positive impact on the lives of the less privileged.
The foundation’s secretary, Mr. Anthony Okoji, highlighted the organization’s tradition of embarking on charitable projects towards the end of each year. Past initiatives have included providing school uniforms, paying school fees, visiting hospitals, and donating laptops to schools. This year, the foundation chose to reach out to the Yola Orphanage Home.
The foundation donated a substantial amount of food items, including 1kg of rice, 1kg of maize, 25 liters of palm and groundnut oil, 7 crates of eggs, 3 cartons of sachet tomatoes, 1 carton of maggi, and baby pampers. The orphanage matron, Mrs. Ahajara Abubakar, expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the foundation for their kindness and generosity.
Mr. Morrisa Ceesa, a member of the foundation and a professional humanitarian under the United Nations, delivered a goodwill message, thanking the foundation for their selfless act.
He encouraged the organization to remain focused on their humanitarian endeavors, emphasizing the transformative impact they have on society. Ceesa also appealed to other organizations and individuals to follow the foundation’s example, especially during the festive season.
The Fellowship Foundation’s visit to the Yola Orphanage Home has brought joy and hope to the children and staff, ensuring they are not left out of the Christmas celebrations.
