Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has flagged off distribution of routine drugs for antenatal, delivery, postnatal delivery kits as well as seed stock of drugs for care services for the 21 local government areas.
Also distributed is monitoring and evaluation tools for quality primary healthcare service delivery to improve health care service delivery in the state.
Deputy Governor Kaletapwa Farauta represented the governor at the symbolic flagoff for the 21 councils in Numan, saying over the years, government has built, reconstructed and renovated secondary and primary health facilities.
Governor Fintiri explained that the distribution is in line with with government agenda that the drugs be sold at subsidized rate at the health centres, urging the people of Numan federation to appreciate the gesture by uniting themselves and supporting the fresh air administration’s drive for a healthy society.
The Hama Bachama Dr. Daniel Ismaila Shaga thanked Governor Fintiri for such laudable program in the healthcare services, urging him to sustain the spirit.
According to him, his disposition to welfare, unity, peace and development of the people and the state is unquantifiable, saying he is a leader to reckon with.
Mr Felix Tangwami, Commissioner for Health and Human Services said government would not tolerate any mistake from any medical personnel in any of the 226 wards of the state.
Tangwami thanked state government for transforming the health sector.
Dr Suleiman Bashir, Executive Secretary, Adamawa Primary Health Care Development Agency (ADPHCDA), pointed out that the items are aimed at improving the mandate of the agency.
