Isa Gusau, the media adviser to Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State, is dead.Isa Gusau, a product of Kaduna Polytechnic, University of Maiduguri, and Middlesex University London, was a well loved mass communicator who started his media practice as a reporter with Daily Trust.Reports have so far indicated that Isa Gusau died on Thursday in India after a protracted illness.He had begun his rise outside routine news writing when he became media adviser to the then governor of Borno State, Kashim Shettima, now Nigeria’s Vice President. After serving in all of Kashim’s eight years, Gusau was reappointed to the same position by incumbent Governor Zulum.Gusau had obtained a Master’s Degree in Media and Public Relations at the University of Leicester in the United Kingdom.He had previously obtained a Masters’ Degree and a Postgraduate Diploma in Labour and Public Relations from the University of Maiduguri.This was after obtaining his HND in Mass Communication from the Kaduna Polytechnic. A Kaduna Polytechnic course mate of Isa Gusau, Mohammed Abdullahi, praying on his Facebook page Friday morning, said, “Isa Gusau, May Almighty Allah rest your gentle soul in Aljannah Firdaus.”
