Review of Achievements, Plans as Hon Kallamu Celebrates 100 Days in Office

In a significant milestone, the Member Representing Mayo Belwa Constituency in the Adamawa State House of Assembly, Hon Musa Mahmud Kallamu has marked his first 100 days in office.

In an exclusive interview at his residence in Mayo Belwa, Kallamu highlighted several accomplishments and outlined his vision for the future.

One of the key initiatives undertaken by the lawmaker is organizing a town hall meeting with his constituents to address their immediate needs.
This platform he said, has facilitated direct engagement and fostered a deeper understanding of the community’s pressing issues.

In a bid to enhance publicity and empower the youth, Hon Musa Kallamu said he has appointed over 20 Special Assistants on Electronic and New Media.
This move aims to leverage digital platforms to amplify the voices of young people and provide them with opportunities for growth and development.

Recognizing the critical need for reliable water sources, the Lawmaker explained that a committee on borehole maintenance has been constituted which successfully repaired over 30 non-functioning boreholes, significantly alleviating water scarcity and improving the quality of life for many residents.

Demonstrating his commitment to alleviating hunger and poverty, the lawmaker announced that he has distributed over 600 bags of rice to families in need adding the gesture has provided much-needed relief to many struggling households.

On the front of women’s empowerment, the lawmaker said his wife Hajiya Sa’adatu Musa Mahmud Kallamu, has played a pivotal role by empowering over 200 women with cash grants.

Kallamu also expressed his plans to boost agricultural productivity by providing farming implements to local farmers.
He said this initiative is expected to enhance food security and support the livelihoods of those dependent on agriculture.

The lawmaker took the opportunity to appreciate Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for his unwavering support to the legislature and his significant contributions to the transformation of Adamawa State.

He also acknowledged the cordial working relationship with his colleagues in the state assembly, which he believes is crucial for the collective progress of the region.
