Hong Council Chairman Gets Backing for 2nd Term

Some stakeholders in Hong Local Government Area, Adamawa State, have thrown their weight behind the second term bid of the incumbent Chairman of the LGC, Hon. Usman Inuwa Wa’aganda.

The stakeholders unanimously endorsed him for second term in office in consideration of his commitment and unique leadership style.

This was agreed upon when the stakeholders paid a thank-you visit on the Member representing Uba/Gaya constituency at Adamawa State House of Assembly, Hon. John Adun Alaba.

Some of the stakeholders who gave nod to Hon. Wa’aganda to run for 2nd term include the PDP Chairman Hong LGA, Hon. Ibrahim Datti, Vice Chairman of the Council, Legislative Council, Development Area Administrators, among others.

The stakeholders said they have reviewed Hon. Wa’aganda’s tenure and observed that he has done his best for the LGC, and endorsing him for 2nd term became necessary in consideration of his achievements.

Speaking earlier, the PDP Chairman Hong LGA, Hon. Ibrahim Datti, said the stakeholders mostly from Uba/Gaya deemed it imperative to come to the Assembly and thank Hon. Alaba for carrying his constituents along in the scheme of things.

He also thanked the Speaker of the Assembly, Rt. Hon. Bathiya Wesley, Sen. Aminu Iya Abba as well as Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, and pledged their support to their leadership to enable them deliver on their mandate.

Also speaking, th Vice Chairman of the council and Leader of the Legislative Council, Hon. Faleny Washa, commended the Chairman for his performance, saying that supporting him for 2nd term will enable him do more for his electorate.

Several other stakeholders who bared their minds during the visit, stated that the incumbent Chairman has earned the confidence and trust of the people for a second term, and appealed to the Speaker and the Member to support him.

Responding, the Member representing Uba/Gaya, Hon. John Adu Alaba, thanked them for the visit and pledged to provide them with good representation.
