Easter: Extend Christ’s Love to Others, Adamawa Speaker Tells Christians

The Speaker Adamawa State House of Assembly Rt Hon Bathiya Wesley has reminded Christians on the need to appreciate the sacrifice and love shown by Jesus on the cross through praying for peace and unity of the State.

The Speaker in a press Statement signed by his chief press secretary Hyellamada Bernard said Easter is a period of sober reflection that Christains should put to consideration as we commemorate the 2024 Easter.

Rt Hon Bathiya Wesley noted that this year’s Easter coincided with the period when Muslim brothers and sisters are observing Ramadan fast, and should come together in harmony and continue to pray for our state and the country considering the current challenges.

Coming together in period like this will go a long way in promoting peace and unity among the people.

The statement asked the people to use this period to show love to others as both faith preach on the need to extend a hand of fellowship especially to the less privileged during hard times.

He called for continuous prayers and support for Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri as he pilots the affairs of the state.
