Adamawa Dep Gov Football Tournament Kicks Off

The Prof-FAN Network and Care Foundation, popularly known as Professor Farauta Ambassador Network, has started a football tournament in honour of the Adamawa Deputy Governor, Kaletapwa George Farauta.

The maiden tournament is currently being competed among seven local government areas of Mubi-North Mubi South Michika, Maiha Madagali Hong and Gombi LGAs.

who represented the deputy governor said the initiative to honour the deputy governor is a noble one.

Jenson said the youths stand to benefit from the games in the area of recreation as a unifying factor.

He said some of the challenges youths have, could be easily eliminated through sporting activities.

He also urged people of the state to source for a common platform to encourage sporting activities.

In his remarks, Mr Aaron Audu Gowono, Special Assistant on Sport Development to the deputy governor, stressed that the competition is a unifier which brings youths together under one platform.

Gowono pointed out that the deputy governor is a material to the youths, hence the tournament in her honour.

He said the youths remember deputy governor as a mother, when she served as the TV Vice Chancellor Adamawa state university Mubi.
