Adamawa state government says it will accord the necessary support for the smooth launch of Support for the Disengagement, Review, Reintegration, and Reconciliation of Persons formerly associated with Non State Armed Groups (NSAGs) in Northeast Nigeria (SD3R).
The launch of the project is slated for March, as sponsored by the European Union and supported by the Office of the National Security Adviser.
It is a post-insurgency program aimed at reconciliation and reintegration to enhance social cohesion among communities affected by the insurgency.
Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri expressed government’s determination to partner European Union’s implementation of the SD3R project geared towards resettling insurgency-affected people in the state.
Deputy Governor Kaletapwa Farauta who received the project team on behalf of the governor, said government would partner the consortium to reap the benefits of the project.
“Government is glad about your coming to Adamawa state,” the deputy governor said, stressing that the government remains committed to efforts at rebuilding the insurgency-ravaged communities to reintegrate and reconcile victims.

said the project tends to improve community driven reintegration and reconciliation of those associated with insurgency in the three states of Adamawa, Borno and Yobe for a safer and resilient society.
Abbas called for more cooperation for effective execution and sustainability of the project.
