The Adamawa State Government says it remains totally commited to security for all residents.
The state Deputy Governor, Professor Kaletapwa Farauta said Wednesday that the administration under Governor Ahmadu Fintiri will never tolerate anything that could jeopardize the safety and wellbeing of the citizens.
Speaking at the 2024 Armed Forces Appeal Fund ceremony in Yola, she said government’s commitment to security informs its continuous investment in the sector.
She recalled how operational vehicles were provided for security agencies and hunters associations in the 21 LGAs of the state to help combat crime.
“These supports have no doubt reduced the ugly narrative of kidnapping, farmer/herders crisis in the state,” the deputy governor said.
The state chairman of the Nigeria Legion, Master Warrant Officer Ali Mohammed (Rtd), praised the military and the veterans for their roles in peacekeeping within and outside Nigeria.
He also commended the Ahmadu Fintiri administration for its development efforts and asked for more support to the Legion to improve the conditions of families of the fallen heroes.
