The Adamawa State chapter of Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) has felicitated with the immediate past President of the association, Ladi Bala on her appointment as the Nzubyalata Hama Batta (Spokesperson to the Hama Batta).
A statement jointly signed by the state NAWOJ Chairperson Rose Anthony Elishama and Secretary Gloria Abutu said the appointment of Ladi Bala as the first woman to hold the esteemed chieftaincy title of Nzubyalata Batta is a recognition of her as a distinguished female journalist renowned for her dedication to journalistic excellence.
“The title, traditionally reserved for individuals of exceptional eloquence and communication prowess is a testament to Bala’s outstanding contributions to journalism in Nigeria,” NAWOJ stated.
The association added, “Bala’s appointment as Spokesperson to the Hama Batta reflects not only her personal achievements but also symbolizes a broader recognition of the vital role that women play in shaping narratives and influencing public discourse.
“Her trailblazing efforts during her tenure as National President of the association serves as an inspiration to aspiring journalists, particularly women.
“NAWOJ Adamawa takes pride in acknowledging Bala’s accomplishments and believes that her new role as Spokesperson of the Batta Kingdom will further amplify her voice and contribute to positive change within the community.
“While congratulating her on this well-deserved honour, NAWOJ wishes her a successful tenure in good health, and looks forward to witnessing the continued impact of Bala’s work as she carries the mantle of this esteemed chieftaincy title.
