Senator Aminu Iya Abbas, representing Adamawa Central Senatorial District, has made a significant contribution to the development of his constituency. During the 1st Annual Huba Chiefdom Economic Development Submit in Hong, Adamawa State, he announced a personal donation of N10 million to support the initiative.
In addition to his personal contribution, the Iya Abbas Foundation has pledged N20 million to the cause. This donation is part of the foundation’s efforts to support community development initiatives in the region.
Furthermore, Senator Abbas, as Chairman of the occasion, announced the allocation of a N200 million envelope to Hong Chambers of Commerce, Mines, Industry and Agriculture to select projects of their choice for community-driven projects.
The projects will be selected based on community needs, ensuring that the resources are utilized effectively.
As Chairman of the Senate Committee on Innovation, Science, and Technology, Senator Abbas commended the Thol Hoba, His Royal Highness Alheri Bulus Nyako, for the initiative. He also announced the approval for the establishment of technology incubation centers in Yola and Hong local government areas and a leather research institute, respectively.
According to Senator Abbas, the Royal Father’s initiative aims to promote entrepreneurship and innovation, empowering youths and women in the benefiting communities.
The establishment of the technology incubation centers is expected to create a hub for innovation and entrepreneurship, providing opportunities for young people to develop skills and start their own businesses.
