Former influential Adamawa State Organising Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Hamza Madagali climbed to the position of Chairman on Saturday amidst a rain of endorsements by joyful supporters.
Madagali, a former caretaker chairman of his home Madagali LGA, had an easy ride to his new position earlier in the day at the Mahmud Ribadu Square in Yola where a consensus state congress affirmed his choice as chairman.
Madagali had accepted his new office with a pledge to make the PDP a true family in which everyone feels a sense of belonging.
His many supporters have since been in a celebration mood, describing him as the best that the party could have this material time.
A leading aspirant for the House of Representatives seat for Guyuk/Shelleng Federal Constituency in 2027, Hon Golfa Mallim has been quick in asking members of the party to rally round him and make his reign a huge success.
