The Speaker Adamawa State House of Assembly Rt Hon Bathiya Wesley has congratulated the new leadership of the Nigeria Union of Journalists NUJ Adamawa state council under comrade Abdullahi Ibrahim.
The Speaker in a press statement issued by his chief press secretary Hyellamada Bernard commended the peaceful conduct of the election by it’s members on Wednesday 18th June 2025 at NUJ press center.
The Speaker noted that, professional body like the NUJ should always live by example as watch dog of the society.
Rt Hon Bathiya Wesley use the medium to call on Abdullahi Ibrahim led council to embrace peace and unity among it’s members devoid of any sentiments.
He challenged the chairman and his council members to ensure unity among the members of the Union to aid room for development.
The Speaker also advised the NUJ Chairman to extend hand of fellowship to those he contested with to come and join him in moving the Union forward.
While wishing the council peaceful and impactful tenure,the Speaker equally called on all members of Adamawa NUJ to support the new leadership for progress and Development of the union.
