Adamawa SEC Approves
N2.5bn For Projects In State’s 21 LGAs
The Adamawa State Executive Council, Presided over by the state Deputy Governor, Professor Kaletapwa George Farauta, has approved N2.5 billion for developmental projects across the 21 local government areas of the state.
Speaking to journalists after the meeting held at the council chambers of the Government House Yola Wednesday, Commissioner for Information and Strategy, James Iliya hinted water supply, education, agricultural inputs and other empowerment as areas to benefit from the approval.
Iliya noted that the implementation of the projects would be supervised by the state assembly lawmakers from benefiting LGAs to be supervised by the implementating ministries.
Also approved is to publish the business enabling reform action plan (BERAP) progress report for the year 2024 implementation period to meet up the eligibility criteria for participation in the 2025 implementation period of the state action on business enabling reform program.
The council urged citizens to be on flood red alert and relocate to safer areas ahead of anticipated floods in the state.
The SEC advised people to always use life jackets and void traveling by boats at night as volume of water is expected to increase as the rainfalls set in.
