The Adamawa State College For Legal Studies, Yola has inaugurated Barrister Sulaiman Ahmed as Provost, Emmanuel Ibrahim Buba as Registrar and Jummai Ali Kori as acting Librarian.
The new principal officers will steer the affairs of the institution towards greater development and academic excellence.
The inauguration ceremony was presided over by the Chairman Governing Board of the College, Hon. Amos Yusuf Wavah, who charged the new leadership to be proactive and innovative in delivering on their mandate.
Addressing the gathering, Hon. Wavah urged the Provost, Registrar, and the Librarian to prioritize the improvement of both learning and working environment of the college.
He emphasized the need for transparency, accountability, and dedication in all their engagements.
The Board Chairman commended Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for his transformational leadership across the state and for ensuring the appointment of competent individuals to head the college.
He expressed confidence that the newly appointed officers would live up to expectations urging them to work collectively for betterment of the college.
In his response after the inauguration, the new Provost of the College, Barrister Sulaiman Ahmed, expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve.
He pledged to justify the confidence reposed in the new management team and assured stakeholders that his administration would carry everyone along in a collective effort to advance the academic mission of the college.
Goodwill messages were delivered by notable dignitaries, including the Principal Special Assistant to the Governor on Legal Matters, Leader Leneke; Chairman of Yola North Local Government Area, Barrister Jibrilla Ibrahim; and Chairman of the House of Assembly Service Commission, Hannatu Kadala.
They all congratulated the new officers and encouraged them to work tirelessly for the continued growth of the institution.
The stakeholers described the College of Legal Studies, Yola as a reputable citadel of legal education, having produced many outstanding graduates who have made meaningful contributions across the state and beyond.
According to the terms of their appointments, the Provost and Registrar are to serve a five-year tenure, while the Librarian will serve a six-month term.
The ceremony marked a new chapter in the leadership of the college, with renewed hope for academic excellence and institutional progress.
