Adamawa Dep Governor, Professor Kaletapwa Farauta says women farmers have been resilient and remain the hope of Nigeria’s food production.
Speaking when she hosted the Federation of Muslim Women Association (FOMWAN) on courtesy call, Farauta explained that
women farmers deserve all the support and encouragement needed to upscale food production for the teeming population as well as for business.
She urged them to ensure proper upbringing of their children in a religious manner for the development of the state.
“We should ensure we train our children in a manner they would be good citizens.
“We should leverage on our diversity as people and make the state proud,” she said.
Earlier in her remarks, the state Amirah Khadija Buba who led the 21 local government officials to the deputy governor, thanked the state government for carrying along their members during Poverty Alleviation and Wealth Creation (PAWECA) employment.
Buba appreciated infrastructural development of the state and assured of their support at all times.
