The Senator Representing Adamawa Central Senatorial District Aminu Iya Abbas has expressed shock over the death of one of the pillars of Tijjaniya Movement in Nigeria and Adamawa in particular Sheikh Modibbo Ibrahim Daware who died Friday in Yola.
Aminu Iya Abbas described the renown Islamic Scholar, as a bridge-builder who promotes peace, unity, love and tolerance during his life time.
The senator in a condolence message through his Yola Media Office. on behalf of the people of Adamawa Central said the late Islamic Scholar would forever be remembered for fostering peace and unity among religious groups in the state, country and even beyond.
He said the late cleric was a devout Muslim leader and would also be remembered for his moderating influence, wealth of experience and private practice.
He urged the family of the late cleric, the people of Adamawa, the Muslim community especially the Tijjaniya Movement to take consolation as the late renowned Islamic scholar made indelible contributions to the development of the state.
