Adamawa state Deputy Governor, Professor Kaletapwa Farauta has received christian Pilgrims who returned to the state after successful completion of spiritual activities in Israel and Jordan.
Addressing the pilgrim on arrival at the International Airport Yola onboard Air Anka NCPC at exactly, 6:00 pm local time, Farauta asked them to continue to put the lessons learnt into practice for peaceful Adamawa state and the nation.
She said, the state is proud of the pilgrims, especially that nobody abscond while in the holtland.
“We are here on behalf of Governor Ahmadu Fintiri who saw you off on the day you travelled.
“And prayed God for your safe return.
“It is necessary, to welcome you back and wish you well as we proceed to our various destinations.
“Am sure, we have learnt a lot of lessons, while in the holy land.
“We prayed for Adamawa, for the world and prayed for the body of Christ”. The Deputy Governor added.
The Chief of Staff Government House Yola, Dr Edgar Amos, and other government personalities were at the airport to welcome the pilgrims.
It would be recalled that 180 Batch A, intending Pilgrims were airlifted from the state for the 2024 pilgrimage.
One of the returnee, Comrade Eva Tadawus, thanked God and Adamawa state government for making it possible to perform the pilgrimage.
Other pilgrims from Yobe and Taraba states were onboard the aircraft.##
