The member representing Yola South constituency at the Adamawa State, Rt. Hon. Kabiru Mijinyawa, has distributed 2,000 bags of rice to the people of his constitutiency.
The lawmaker who is serving Yola South at State Assembly for the 3rd time said the gesture was part of his effort towards providing dividends of democracy to his electorate
Speaking while flagging off the distribution of the Rice to his constituents at APC Secretariat in Yola South LGA, Thursday, Kabiru Mijinyawa assured of his effort to providing people oriented representation.
Rt. Hon. Kabiru, said that the event was organised to appreciate the support of his people as well as distribute the rice to them, and cautioned them to be fair and just in distributing and collecting the foodstuff.
He added that their gathering is to let the world know that APC is vibrant in Yola South LGA and stressed the need for the party’s support in order to continue to wax stronger.
He told the gathering that he had kicked started his programmes in his constituency and that every month, he will carry out people oriented programme for his people and that he will not to relent in reaching out to them.
He stated that, his effort is to ensure that his supporters have what to tell people concerning what he has been able to achieve if possible at every unit and political ward in his constituency.
On women empowerment programmes, the former speaker of the assembly, said no fewer than 300 women will be trained on poultry, give them financial support and link them up with customers who will be patronising them.
He said that apart from laying the foundation for the construction of 8 bed capacity clinic on Wednesday, the APC Legislator said that he will be embarking on the construction of another clinic at Dundere in Namtari ward.
He said that he is doing everything possible to provide electricity at Tashan Sani, Mbamba Kona and appealed for support enable him deliver on his mandate.
Also speaking, the APC Chairman Yola South LGA, Hon. Ahmed Bingel, commended the member for his commitment towards meeting the immediate need of his electorate.
Hon. Bingel, called on their electorate to continue to support the lawmaker to enable him succeed and promised to rally round to achieve his future ambition.
On his part, Hon. Suleiman Adamu Sarkin Noma Daula Adamawa, applauded the member for providing the foodstuff to the electorate especially during festive periods, and called for support to enable him provide good leadership.
Addressing the gathering the Organising Secretary of the APC in Yola South Hon. HussainI Ahmadu Har described Rt. Hon. Kabiru Mijinyawa as a true democrat who put the interest of his people above his personal interest.
Other stakeholders in Yola South LGA who spoke at the event, commended the lawmaker for his effort in touching the lives of his electorate and prayed God to continue to guide and protect him.
Some of the beneficiaries while speaking during the event thanked the former speaker for providing them with the rice at this critical time promising that the item will be shared judiciously.
