The ongoing infrastructure drive is designed to cover all seven Local Government Areas (LGAs) in the district compromising of Yola North, Yola South, Girei, Fufore, Song, Gombi, and Hong—transforming dark corridors into well-lit, secure environments.
The Senator Iya Abbas solar illumination campaign aims to address critical security vulnerabilities while breathing new life into the nighttime economy. Brightly lit thorough fares act as a proven deterrent against nocturnal crime, giving residents peace of mind and allowing local traders, vendors, and small business owners to safely extend their operating hours.
By leveraging renewable solar technology, the initiative ensures uninterrupted lighting that remains unaffected by national grid outages.
