Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has sworn eight development area administrators.
Those sworn followed confirmation by the state assembly
after their appointment by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri.
The governor, represented by his deputy Professor Kaletapwa George Farauta, urged the new administrators to ensure policies of the present administration is extended to the rural areas
“You must carry people along in whatever you are doing, because Adamawa is one big family.
“From today you are on evaluation and after 90 days assement would be conducted on you.
” Go and ensure you carry out reconciliation in your respected area (if any), to ensure everyone is carried on board on fresh air government” she added.
She cautioned them againt considering their position as council chairmen.
“You are not chairmen of your respected LGAs.
Those sworn include Idris Usman, Mayo Ine, Gumniba Billaba, Guyuk West, Prince Ginka Pondiwe, Guyuk South, Christopher Maxwell, Guyuk Central.
Others include Desmond Minakaro, Gyawana, Mohammed Musa Gengle, Gengle and Gambo Sarki, Yola Central.
The confirmation followed the consideration of a letter sent to the assembly by Governor Fintiri dated 4th May, 2026, where requested the hallowed chamber to confirm them.
