Mr Justine Madugu has described the award given to him by the National Laity Council of Nigeria as a challenge for him to do more in the services of God and humanity.
Justine Madugu stated this when receiving the award at a mass held at Saint Patrick Church, Numan in Numan local government area.
Reverend Father Bitrus Sule who presented the award alongside Mr John Ndasaya and his family, said the award given to Madugu did not come to him as a surprise because of the selfless service to the growth of the church.
Bitrus Sule who took his reading from Mark 1:20-28, said any man who fails to take his responsiblity to his family is worse than a pegan.
He advised that spouses should collaborate with one another for a peaceful and successful home saying a man is a prophet of his home .
Also speaking the Diocesan President of Laity Council, Yola Diocese Mr John Ndasaya said the National body presented the award to Madugu during their golden jubilee in abuja in recongnition of his outstanding support and contributions to the work of God and humanity.
He described Madugu as a humble devoted christain who always avails himself to the services of God whenever he is called upon.
Responding, the awardee appreciated the national body of the Laity Council of Nigeria for recongnition and honour saying the award is not only for him but to the Diocese of Yola and Saint Patrick Catholic Church, Numan.
