Adamawa Govt Okays Demsa General Hospital Construction

Adamawa State Government has okayed the completion of 120-bed capacity Demsa General Hospital to fast track health service delivery.

The state Deputy Governor, Professor Kaletapwa George Farauta confirmed the readiness of the facility during inspection tour of the facility on Tuesday.

Farauta affirmed that equipment have already been provided and that as soon as handing and taking over procedures is completed with the contractor, the facility would be put to use.

She asked other contractors to emulate Ghumbili Global Nigeria and Musa Kwaya Enterprise, the contractors handling the projects for timely completion.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Governor assured of timely completion of on going Mayo-Belwa Cottage hospital under construction.

According to her, there was a gap between the ongoing project and the last time the contractor was seen on site.

And that, the contractor, consultant and officials from ministry of health would put heads together to commence work on the project.

She urged Sampraco Nigeria Limited the contracting firm to ensure specification in completing the project.

Mr Felix Tangwami Commissioner for Health and Human Services said the project was abandoned by the past administration and had to be reviewed for completion.

Engineer Abdulrahman Musa of X-Concrete Consultants Limited, lamented over hike in prize of the building materials as major challenges in completing the project.

Dr. Peter Paul, Principal Medical Officer PMO of the hospital solicited for employment of more medical personnels to man the facility when completed.
