Adamawa State Deputy Governor, Professor Kaletapwa Farauta, worshipping at separate times on Sunday in the Government House Chapel Yola, and Truth Foundation Ministries, Numan, canvassed unity for progress.
Speaking during the Harvest and Thanksgiving Service and as Minister in the Foundation Ministry, Numan, Farauta urged unity of purpose for the state as worshippers thronged out to praise God for the love and guidance of God upon their lives.
At the Government House Chapel in Yola, the deputy governor who doubles as the chief host and grand patron, emphasized on the importance of unity and peaceful coexistence which can influence more development and prosperity in the church, Adamawa and Nigeria as a whole.
Farauta advised worshipers to leave good legacies for the next generation.
Chairman of the occasion and speaker of the state House of Assembly, Bathiya Wesley said God has created humans on earth with all opportunities, hence the gathering to thank God for his favour and goodness.
Bathiya sued for unity and the need to coexist peacefully devoid of sentiments.
Speaking on the theme, ‘Thanking God for all His Benefits’, the preacher, Bishop David Zaky reminded the faithful that God’s kindness is unquantifiable, hence the need to return all praise and thanksgiving.
Reading from Luke chapter 22 verses 13-22, Bishop Zaky urged Christians to serve God by being humanitarians, stressing that as ambassadors of Christ, they are empowered to be problem solvers and fulfill His purpose on earth.
First class chiefs and other title holders who include Kpang Sanwi II of Sanwi chiefdom Dr. Hanniel Helewane Banti, commissioners, members of the state assembly, among others, graced the service.
