In a momentous event validating the democratic choice of the grassroots, the newly elected Council Chairman of Shelleng Local Government Area, Hon. Abubakar Isa (Marafa Shelleng), has officially received his Certificate of Return from the Adamawa State Independent Electoral Commission (ADSIEC).
Held at the commission’s headquarters, the presentation formally seals the outcome of the June 13th local government polls, where Marafa secured a resounding mandate to spearhead development across the area.
The atmosphere was filled with immense joy and solidarity as ADSIEC officials presented the certificate to Hon. Marafa, symbolizing the deep trust reposed in him by the electorate. Speaking shortly after receiving the certificate, Hon. Marafa extended his appreciation to the Executive Governor of Adamawa State, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri. He highly commended the Governor for his unwavering commitment to democratic ideals, particularly for ensuring a level playing ground that allowed all political parties to participate freely, fairly, and peacefully throughout the state.
