Senator Aminu Iya Abbas (Adamawa Central Senatorial District ) and Chairman Senate Committee on Science and Technology has felicitated with the President of the Senate ,Senator Godswill Obot Akabio on his 62 birthday .
In a statement by his Special Assistant (Media and Public Affairs), Ahmad Muhammad Danyaro, Iya Abbas joins members of the 10th Senate in serenading the President of the Senate , whose visionary style of leadership continues to inspire and outstand, starting from his state as Governor,Senate Minority Leader, Minister and his current position as President of the Senate/ Chairman National Assembly , turning it into a national and global reference for social, economic and infrastructural development.
“I believe he has a lot more reasons to celebrate in view of his political capacity and network that cut across the various political strata of Nigeria. He has remained courageously focused and undaunted in his fearless quest for justice, equity, openness and uncommon leadership as his political raison d’etre. Little wonder therefore he earned the sobriquet of “Uncommon Transformer” who offers and practices uncommon leadership”.
“As the President of the Senate he has been all embracing and does not discriminate on the basis of political affiliation, gender or ethnicity. Like Noah’s Ark he managed to carry all on board”. Senator Iya posited.
He prayed God almighty to grant Senator Akpabio long life and abundant good health to continue to deliver Uncommon Service to the National Assembly and Nigeria in general.
