Fintiri Commissions MAU Distance Learning Complex

Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State has commissioned the new Modibbo Adama University MAU distance learning complex.

The complex, a huge three-story structure which is fully furnished, is located on the main campus of MAU in Girei.

Commissioning the complex on Thursday, Fintiri asked the people of the state to take advantage of the center to educate their children who are future leaders

Professor Kaletapwa Farauta, the state Deputy Governor who represented the governor at the event, said the centre would ease commuting for staff and students of the institution.

Trending News reports that the building for the centre had previously been in Yola South, about 20 kilometres from the main campus in Girei.

Fintiri said the new centre, is in line with the mandate of the state government in taking education closer to the people of the state.

The Vice Chancellor, Professor Abdullahi Liman Tukur said the project was completed at the cost of N526,739, 429.

The VC explained that the funds used for the construction of the new complex was sourced from the internally generated revenue of the center.

He urged the people of the state to embrace the possibilities that the centre offers.

“Let us seize the moment to expand our minds and enrich our lives,” he said.
