Work Hard to Deliver By-Election, Kallamu Tells Mayo-Belwa PDP Stakeholders

As the by-election for Mayo Belwa Constituency draws nearer, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) flagbearer in the February 3rd Election, Hon Musa Mahmud Kallamu has urged the stakeholders and his teeming supporters to intensify efforts on how to win the election.

Kallamu made the call while speaking during a meeting with stakeholders and youths of the constituency at the Government Lodge, Mayo Belwa, saying if elected for the third term, he will be among the ranking lawmakers and will bring desired development to the constituency.

He pointed out that as an experienced legislator, he will consolidate on previous legacies while in the state Assembly from (2011-2015) and (2015-2019).

Hon. Kallamu who described Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri as a people’s governor who has much interest in mayo Belwa, said if elected he will continue to be loyal to the governor and unite with other Adamawa lawmakers to facilitate development.

Praising Governor Fintiri for giving lawmakers constituency projects, he expressed dismay that there ‘nothing to show’ in Mayo Belwa constituency due to poor representation.

He pledged to organise a town hall meeting annually to discuss with the
constituents on their needs, to avoid mispriority.

While soliciting more support from people of the constituency, Hon. Kallamu appealed to voters in the seven polling units where the election will take place to come out en messe and give him their mandate for the development of the constituency.

Speaking separately, Hon Yusuf Bapetel and Babangida Maikudi described Kallamu as a tested and trusted politician whose legacies are still in existence in the area.

They promised to ensure Mayo Belwa constituency is delivered to the PDP and Kallamu return to the state assembly for quality representation.
