The Senator Representing Adamawa Central Senatorial District at the National Assembly, Aminu Iya Abbas has commiserated with the Government and People of Adamawa State and Hong Local Government Area in particular, over Maj. Gen MH Garba who died after a brief illness at Cedar Crest Hospital Abuja Wednesday.
The Senator in a condolence message through his Yola Media Office on Thursday, described the death of late Garba Hong as a huge loss not only to his family but the state and the country as a whole.
Expressing shock and sadness over the demise of Garba Hong, Senator Iya Abbas who hails from the same LGA with the deceased, extolled the virtues of the late General who had over the years demonstrated patriotism and professionalism in the discharge of his duties.
While extending his heartfelt condolences to the families of the RTD General, Abbas prayed God to grant the departed soul eternal rest.
He said, “On behalf of the people of Adamawa Central Senatorial district, I sympathize with the Nigerian Armed Forces and indeed the people of Adamawa State and Nigeria in General.”
