Humanitarian Ministry Northern P. M Farida, Trains 500 Adamawa Women On Vocational Skills

The Program Manager Rural Vocational Skills Program for the Northern Nigeria Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation Farida Musa Jauro has empowered 500 Women in Adamawa on Vocational Skills for self-reliance.

The women who were equiped with skills on Carpet Making, Make-Up, Bags and shampoo among others were drawn from Mubi of Adamawa northern zone.

The program manager said the aim of the training is to empower women who are the costodians of homes with necessary skills for self-reliance.

She added that the gesture was to compliment federal government’s efforts in empowering Nigerians to boost the national economy.

She said similar trainings will be conducted in other parts of the country to reduce poverty among women.

Farida appreciated the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation Doctor Betta Edu for supporting the programme and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for finding her worthy to serve in that capacity.

She reiterated commitment of President Tinibu’s adminstration towards alleviating Poverty and Wealth Creation, and urged the Beneficiaries of the training to extend the knowledge they have acquired to others in their Community.

Speaking during the event, the District Head of Yadafa in Mubi South local government area Mallam Baba Galadima lauded Hajiya Farida for her foresight in bringing the programme to Mubi and called on beneficiaries to use the skills they have acquired in improving their livelihood.

He particularly thanked Presient Tinubu for his giants strides in developing Nigeria through his good policies and programmes that have direct bearing on the lives of the people and commended the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation for supporting their daughter to serve in her ministry.

Speaking in an interview, a Member Representing Mubi North constituency in the Adamawa State House of Assembly Yohanna Musa Jauro and a Former Member Representing Jada-Mbulo constituency, Hammanjoda Umar Farang lauded the initiative of Hajiya Farida in empowering the Women and urged the Beneficiaries to use the knowledge acquired for the purpose intended.

Some beneficiaries of the training, Rabecca Maina a student of Carpet Making, Maryam Ahmed a student of Make-Up and Hauwa Buba Mubi a student of Bag making appreciated Hajiya Farida, President Tinubu and Doctor Betta Edu for empowering them.
