The Executive Governor of Adamawa State, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintitiri has participated in a three days African Cybersecurity Defense Forum in Kigali, Rwanda. The program was themed ‘Enhancing Cybersecurity Resilience; Safeguarding Africa’s Digital Infrastructure Against Emerging Technology Threats’The Governor who was represented by his Deputy, Her Excellency Prof. Kaletapwa G. Farauta, led the delegation that includes the Honourable Commissioner of the Ministry of Information and Strategy, Hon. Iliya James, and Mrs. Deborah Anthony Ngbale, the Deputy Chief of Staff, at the African Cybersecurity Defense Forum.Prof. Kaletapwa on behalf of the Governor on the 17th of October 2024, delivered a speech titled: “Strengthening Cybersecurity and Advancing Digital Transformation in Adamawa State, Nigeria.” The Governor emphasized that His government has embraced digital revolution, recognized that our future will be increasingly shaped by our ability to safeguard our digital infrastructure, expand access to technology, and deliberately embarking on Cybersecurity initiatives to protect that infrastructure. Gov. Fintitiri invites global and African ICT experts to collaborate with the Adamawa State government in the area of Cybersecurity and other emerging technology. He said the partnership is aim to build resilience, strengthen the cybersecurity ecosystem, drive innovation, and protect digital infrastructure from emerging technological threats. The program drew experts in Cybersecurity and digital infrastructure from within Africa and round the world.
