Adamawa Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri has condoled the Numan Federation over the demise of immediate past chairman of the local government, Pharmacist Christopher Sofore.
Speaking at the funeral service at LCCN Cathedral Numan on Tuesday, the governor, represented by his Deputy, Professor Kaletapwa Farauta asked Numan federation to take solace in God over the irreparable loss.
Farauta who led a high-powered state government delegation,
said the governor would have loved to attend the funeral service except for other official exigencies.
“His Excellency, Rt Hon Ahmadu Fintiri sent his condolences to Bachama Chiefdom, Numan Federation, Numan local government, church and everyone of us.
“Our prayers as a government is that God will comfort all of us,” Farauta said.
The preacher Rev.Vess Paul Demsa, who took her scripture readings from Hebrews 4:13 ‘And no creature is hidden from his sight, but all are naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must give account.
Paul, equally cited Ecclesiastes 12:13 teaches that we were made to fear God.
“The key to purpose in life, to fear God, to live in awe of and worship of God, to seek him to know him, to walk with him, to keep his commandments. This is what you are made for.
She reminded the mourners that death is inevitable as it can happen any day, saying the uncertainty about death is the circumferences of when, how and where it happens.
Pharm Diwagari Samiyu, who represented the
Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN), Adamawa chapter also condoled the family of the deceased members.
Samiyu said the group is saddened when they heard the death of one of their own.
“We greatly mised a hero in the pharmaceutical practice in the state.
The deceased aged 72 was buried in Gamadio is survived by a wife and four children.##
