Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State, at an event with Christians during this year’s Easter celebration, solicited peace to move the state forward.
Speaking at the Interdenominational service organized by the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) at St Monica LCCN Cathedral Jimeta-Yola, Fintiri advised that people should live in peace and unity with one another.
Represented by Professor Kaletapwa George Farauta, the state Deputy Governor, the governor said development of the state would only be anchored on peaceful co-existence among the citizens.
“Governor Fintiri sent a message of peace that Christ has brought for us. We need to live in peace and unity not just among Christians but with our neighbors, so that we can move Adamawa forward,” Farauta said.
She assured the commitment of government in cushioning the effect of hardship even as she thanked God for witnessing this year’s Easter celebrations

He offered prayers for the destruction of the evil spirit that stands as obstacle to the prosperity of the people and in the areas of marriage, promotion, and businesses.
Special prayers against the present state of the economy was offered by Rev Fr. Jude Mbptepi, while prayers for the unity of the Church was offered by Archbishop Markus Anfani
