The Nigeria Union of Journalists NUJ Adamawa State Council has extended its felicitations to the Executive Governor of Adamawa state, Rt.Hon.Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, His Deputy, Professor Kaletapwa George Farauta, Speaker, Rt Hon Bathiya Wesley, Members of the state Executive Council, Honourable lawmakers and the good people of the state as the world marks Christmas.
“On this special day which signifies the birth of Jesus Christ, NUJ admonishes Christians across all the denominations, and of course their brothers alike, to keep on demonstrating their love for the Almighty God and mankind which is solemnly the core significance for the celebration of the season,” the union said in a statement signed by its Chairman Ishaka Donald Dedan, and Secretary Fidelis Jockthan.
The NUJ enjoined all the people of Adamawa State to savour the infrastructural development of Governor Fintiri and forge ahead with the peace existing among the heterogeneous cultures across the state.
“Christians should also continue building bond of brotherhood and mutual trust with the other faith for sustainable peace as well as using the period to pray for the Governor, traditional institutions, Religious leaders, political class and all strata of life,” the NUJ stated.
It prayed that this Christmas would be another season of joy, immeasurable love and boundless salvation to mankind.
