All is set for public presentation of a New Testament Bible, translated in Bachama language, ‘Kwa Bwatiye Bible’.
The unveiling is expected in a couple of weeks in Numan, Adamawa State
Chief Vidon Jaule, Committee Chairman for the public presentation of the bible, dropped the hint Thursday when his team paid a courtesy call on the State Deputy Governor Professor Kaletapwa George Farauta at her office .
Jaule said his committee set up by the bible translation team, was asked to proceed with the arrangements for the arrival of the copies of the translated new testament.
He pointed out that the greatest thing one can do is to understand the word of his faith in his own local language.
“A lot of people can read English, but cannot understand some of the words.
But if you read in your own language and hear it orally, the understanding is by far deeper,” he said.
