Adamawa state government has urged people to take ownership of electrical equipments located in their communities to ensure public safety against vandals as epileptic power supply lingers in the state
Government decision was made known at the 11 State Executive Council (SEC), meeting, presided over by the State Deputy Governor Professor Kaletapha Farauta, Wednesday.
Briefing newsmen shortly after the SEC meeting, Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr James Iliya, said government is mindful to ensure electrical installation and other public infrastructures are protected from destructions at all time.

On the issue of out of school children, the council encouraged parents, guardians and caregivers to take advantage of governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri’s free education policy and enroll their children back to school, warning that living them out of school is counter productive.flooding waters in the state.
He said, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) as well as the State Emergency Agency (ADSEMA) has sensitized flood-prone communities on adopted strategies to prevent flooding in the area.
Also speaking, Commissioner of Environment Sadiq Mohammed said government has established a mobile court to prosecute defaulters of the rules governing the monthly public environmental sanitation exercise in the state
He said it is evident every saturday as part of the rules, during the exercise which starts from 7am to 10am, where residents commence cleaning their space.
Commissioner for Water Resources, Audu Tanko Ayuba added that the council equally directed all commissioners to take the lead in the ongoing monthly sanitation exercise across the 21 local government areas, even as it also discussed on ways to supply drought resistant seeds for farmers.
