Adamawa state Deputy Governor Professor Kaletapwa Farauta has commissioned water projects in five different communities in Fufore local government area.
The projects are targeted at ameliorating water scarcity of over 2,500 households.
Farauta urged security and traditional institutions to guard against vandalization of the projects located in Gurin, Wuro-boki, Dasin-Hausa and Malabu communities.
Making the point that water is something the people of the local government area had been yearning for in a long time, the deputy governor urged the communities to take ownership of the projects and ensure proper maintenance.
Mr Audu Ayuba Tanko, Commissioner for water resources, said the success with the water project is due to political will of the government.
The commissioner said five different communities in Fufore LGA have benefitted from such water projects executed by the government.
Earlier, Usman Hamman Tukur Daware, chairman Fufore local government appreciated Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for the gesture.
He acknowledged that the water projects are among the legacy projects of the governor in Fufore, even as the chairman solicited the provision of transformer to enhance electricity supply.
The acting district head of Ribadu, Aliyu Ahmed among other stakeholders, said the gesture is a remarkable decision of the fresh air administration, hence their appreciation to the government.
